Fly yourself to Paris, Rome ... home? An amazing new feature for the Fun Run - The British Airways Experience.
This unique experience allows you to simulate a Boeing 737-400, capable of speeds up to 500mph. The simulator features a realistic Boeing 737-400 interactive flight deck with fully operational control columns, gear and flap levers, nose wheel steering and brakes. Engine roar, runway rumble and other realistic sounds add greatly to the flying experience.

Participants will actually take-off and land the simulated Boeing 737-400 with full instruction from British Airways Flight Crew. On completion of their flight, everyone will receive a printed certificate showing their final approach and landing, signed by their instructor. Each flight requires a minimum duration of 15 minutes including full pre-flight briefing. There is space also for two spectators per flight.

Unfortunately all pre-sold slots are gone but you can still bid for a chance to take the last slot on the day which is to be sold via silent auction during the day of the Fun Run with the last flight of the day going to the highest bidder. Just look out for the lady with the BA coloured balloons to place your bid, but keep an eye out as someone may just outbid you!

We offered one Bucks Advertiser reader the chance to win a free ride and are pleased to announce that Mr Patrick Gilligan of Holmer Green, High Wycombe was the the winner of the competition.

Smile for the camera! On the day please look out for our roving film-maker, Rekha Sameer, who has been commissioned to capture live-action footage of the Fun Run. Rekha will be filming the day's events and interviewing as many entrants as possible in order to create the first ever Fun Run mini-movie, which will be posted on our website and used for promoting the event in future.

Copies of the finished movie will be for sale, if you would like to buy a copy or request that you are filmed for sure then contact Rekha Sameer by email at rekha_sameer@hotmail.com or call 07796 224 756. All profits from the movie will go to our charities.

Getting involved Applications for race participants will open in February, but there are already several ways in which you can get involved with and help the Fun Run:

Fancy 5 minutes of fame?!
We are looking for a team of runners to feature in our 'Video Diary' as part of this website where our roving film-maker will track your training progress leading up to and on the big day.
Arts and Crafts
New for this year's event is a Crafts Tent where we hope to have your handy-work on sale in aid of the Fun Run.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship forms the backbone of our efforts and we are extremely grateful to all those who have supported the Fun Run in previous years with their donations of money, goods and services. Could you, your own business or your employer support this year's Fun Run in this way?
Race-day helpers
We rely heavily on our team of volunteers to help ensure the day goes off without a hitch; whether they be marshalling the route, serving food and drinks, assisting members of the public or any other role.

If you would be interested in supporting the Fun Run in any of these ways please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you!

Keep an eye on our Join In and The Big Day pages for developments on the day's activities and proceedings.
