This year's charities
To date, the Fun Run has raised over £125,000 for various charities, and this year we have chosen a local High Wycombe charity - Kids in Sport and the Sunrise Cancer Unit of High Wycombe General Hospital. Please read on for more information about these two causes:
Kids In Sport

Kids in Sport is a registered Charitable Trust set up in memory of Julian Budd. Sadly Julian died suddenly in 2007 at the age of 33. He was a very keen sportsman and ran the London Marathon for a charity to support sick children.
It's now our aim to continue helping youngsters so that his memory will live on.
Kids in Sport simply sets out to help children participate in sport who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity.
Unfortunately even today, there are many youngsters who love sport but do not get the chance to participate, due to their personal circumstances.
The Trust looks to help both able and disabled youngsters between the ages of five to sixteen in this objective. The areas of funding are in the provision of sports equipment, sports kit, coaching, upgrading or the provision of facilities, transportation for disabled children to a sporting activity and supervision where required.
The Charity is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and we invite members of the public as well as local organisations to have some fun, helping us raise much needed funds.
So far we estimate we have helped over eight hundred children take part in sport, some for the first time ever.
As we start this journey we will initially focus our efforts in the local region helping qualifying youngsters take part in sport on a regular basis. Later on as the fund grows we will look at spreading this aid throughout the UK.
In closing our thanks go out to you all in anticipation of you helping us put lasting smiles on children's faces.
